Who we are

About CalculateInterestPay and why it exists

About CalculateInterestPay in one line: a free website of 65 calculators, 10 in-depth guides and a glossary that show, in plain English, what interest does to your loans, cards and savings. It exists because the numbers behind everyday money decisions are often buried in fine print. No account, no sign-up, and every page shows its sources and dates.

What is CalculateInterestPay?

CalculateInterestPay is a free US consumer website with calculators and guides for loans, interest, credit card and debt payoff, savings and CDs, auto financing and everyday personal finance. It is not a lender and does not give personal advice. It helps you see the numbers so you can compare choices yourself.

Why does this site exist?

Interest is the quiet part of most money decisions. A payment can look affordable while the total cost runs thousands of dollars higher than expected, and a savings rate can look small while it compounds into real money. The rules are public, but they are spread across regulator pages, statements and disclosures.

This site brings the math and the rules together. Each calculator answers one specific question, explains how it got there, and points to the official source. The aim is that you leave knowing both the number and why it is that number.

Who is it for?

Borrowers comparing offers

People weighing a car loan, a personal loan or a consolidation offer who want to see total cost, not just the monthly payment.

People paying down debt

Anyone with a credit card or several balances who wants to see a payoff date and compare strategies such as the avalanche and the snowball.

Savers and CD shoppers

Anyone setting a savings goal, building an emergency fund or comparing CDs and wondering what compounding is really worth.

Students and the curious

Students, teachers and anyone who wants to understand how APR, APY and amortization work, with examples they can reproduce.

What is CalculateInterestPay not?

  • Not a lender, bank or broker
  • Not a source of personal financial, legal or tax advice
  • Not a credit check; nothing here affects your credit
  • Not a rate table; we do not publish live rates
  • Not connected to your bank or lender accounts
  • Not a substitute for your lender's official disclosures

How is the site funded?

The consumer site is free and is meant to stay free. It is designed to be funded by advertising, which is currently switched off and will only load after you consent, and by optional partner links that are always labelled and are not live yet.

Businesses can also license the calculators for their own websites through a separate service. That revenue helps pay for the free site, but business customers have no say over our content, and none of these arrangements changes a calculator's results. The editorial team is credited on every page; we are recruiting credentialed reviewers and will name them once they are in place.

Show the math, cite the source, date the page, and fix mistakes in the open.

Frequently asked questions

Is CalculateInterestPay a lender or a bank?

No. We do not make loans, hold deposits, check credit or arrange financing. We publish calculators and guides. If you follow an optional partner link in future, it will be clearly labelled, and any application would be with that company, not with us.

Who runs CalculateInterestPay?

The site is written and maintained by the CalculateInterestPay Editorial Team. We have not published named individuals yet, and we are recruiting credentialed reviewers. When they join, their names and credentials will appear on the pages they review. Until then, the team byline is the honest way to credit the work.

Why is the site free to use?

Because the numbers behind borrowing and saving decisions should not sit behind a paywall. Costs are meant to be covered by labelled advertising, which is currently off, optional partner links, which are not live yet, and a separate service that lets businesses put the calculators on their own websites.

Does using the site affect my credit score?

No. Nothing on this site runs a credit check or reports anything to credit bureaus. Calculator inputs stay in your browser. Even the credit score assessment tool is an educational estimate based on answers you type in, not a pull of your credit file.

Is the information on this site financial advice?

No. It is general education. The calculators show what different choices cost or earn, and the guides explain how the rules work, but they cannot account for your whole situation. For personal advice, talk with a qualified professional such as a nonprofit credit counselor or a fee-only planner.

When did CalculateInterestPay launch?

The site launched in October 2026 with 65 calculators, 10 in-depth guides, a glossary, an FAQ hub, a display and accessibility panel, and command search. The changelog lists what has changed since then. Every page also shows its own published and updated dates, so you can see how current it is.

How can I suggest a new calculator or guide?

Send your idea to the general address on our contact page and describe the question you were trying to answer. We read every suggestion. We cannot promise to build each one, but reader questions are one of the main ways we decide what to add next.

Where is CalculateInterestPay based?

We are an online-only publisher serving US readers. There is no public office, and we work by email on US business days. A postal address for legal notices is available on request through our contact page. Because everything is handled in writing, you get a reply you can keep and refer back to.
