Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and CalculateInterestPay (“we,” “us,” “our”) and govern your use of calculateinterestpay.com, including its calculators, guides, tools and newsletter (together, the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Who may use the Site

The Site is intended for people in the United States and is not directed to children under 16. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Educational content, not advice

Everything on the Site, including calculator results, guides, examples and answers, is general educational information. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal, credit or accounting advice, and it does not create any professional or fiduciary relationship between you and us.

Calculator results are estimates. They depend on the numbers and assumptions you enter, are shown in US dollars and may not include every fee, tax, insurance cost or lender rule that applies to you. Interest rates and other figures used in examples are illustrative and may not reflect rates available to you. Always confirm figures with your lender, card issuer or a qualified professional before making a decision. Our Disclaimer explains this in more detail.

Personal, non-commercial use

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You may:

• use the calculators as often as you like;
• link to any page on the Site;
• quote short excerpts with clear credit to CalculateInterestPay and a link back to the source page;
• print or save pages for your own reference.

Business services, including embedding our calculators on your own website, are governed by separate business terms presented at sign-up.

Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

• copy, republish, frame, sell or redistribute substantial parts of the Site or its calculators without our written permission;
• scrape, crawl or harvest content or data by automated means beyond what a standard search engine does in line with our robots instructions;
• interfere with, overload or try to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its forms or the systems behind it;
• bypass or test our spam protection or security measures;
• send spam, malware or unlawful, abusive or misleading content through our forms;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your connection with anyone;
• use the Site in any way that breaks applicable law.

Calculators provided by our service provider

Our calculators run in an embedded frame served by our calculator service provider from our app domain. We choose, configure and test them, but some behavior may depend on that provider, your browser or your device. We may change, add or remove calculators at any time.

Intellectual property

The Site and its content, including text, calculators, formulas as presented, designs, graphics, logos and the CalculateInterestPay name, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by US and international copyright, trademark and other laws. Except for the rights granted in these Terms, no rights are given to you. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, please follow our DMCA Policy.

Messages and feedback you send us

When you contact us or join our newsletter, you agree to give accurate information. If you send us suggestions, corrections or other feedback, you allow us to use them to improve the Site without any obligation to you. Please do not send confidential or sensitive personal or financial information through our forms.

Partner links and advertising

Some pages include clearly labelled partner links, and in future the Site may show clearly labelled advertisements. We may earn money from these, but partners and advertisers do not change our calculator math or editorial content. Your dealings with any partner or advertiser, including any product you apply for, are solely between you and them. See our Affiliate Disclosure and Advertising Disclosure.

Third-party websites

The Site links to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, products, accuracy, privacy practices or availability, and a link does not mean we endorse them. Your use of those sites is at your own risk and under their terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT AND CALCULATORS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY RESULT WILL MATCH WHAT A LENDER OR OTHER PROVIDER OFFERS YOU.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CALCULATEINTERESTPAY AND ITS OWNERS, CONTRIBUTORS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, SAVINGS, DATA OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR RELIANCE ON, THE SITE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN TOLD SUCH DAMAGES ARE POSSIBLE. BECAUSE THE SITE IS FREE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US $100).

Some states do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you. In that case our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless CalculateInterestPay and its owners and contributors from claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of the Site or your breach of these Terms.

Suspension and changes to the Site

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may also block access for anyone who breaks these Terms or misuses the Site.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the US state in which CalculateInterestPay is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing any formal claim, please contact us at legal@calculateinterestpay.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer protection rights you have under the law of the state where you live that cannot be waived by contract.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “updated” date at the top of this page. If you continue to use the Site after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply to you.

General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours in connection with a reorganization, merger or sale. These Terms, together with the policies linked from them, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site.
